My first post - a little bit about me!

Hi there blog world! Finally, after registering this blog for so long, i'm gonna write stuff in it! What spurred me to do this? Well, it's my birthday today and just as i'm about to go to bed i check up on my favourite blog - Cake Wrecks. Lo and behold, one of MY cakes is featured in their Sunday Sweets! It hit me like a bolt of lightning! WOW! It's a birthday present from the powers that be!

So yeah, i decided there and then that it's a sign. I HAVE to start blogging NOW. THIS INSTANT! And so it begins...

A little bit about me, hmm... Well, for starters i'm 28 years old today, born 28th February 1982 in Penang, Malaysia. I'm really passionate about cakes, patisserie, chocolate, candy basically anything sweet! My job involves designing cakes in every way, shape or form. I love designing all sorts of cakes, from towering wedding cakes to sculpted 3D cakes to cakes with intricate sugar figurines. My idols are people like Duff Goldman, Collete Peters, Mich Turner, Alan Dunn and lots more. On the flip side, i also love fine french pastries and desserts - making them as well as eating them! People like Pierre Herme, Sadaharu Aoki, Sherry Yard and David Lebovitz really inspire me to be a better pastry chef.

Well for those of you wondering what this blog is going to be about, well i'm not sure just yet HAHAHAHAHA! I'll probably write about what i know best - making cakes, eating cakes and ME. I guess i'll be putting up some tutorials as well.
